Feature and Follow

Feature & Follow Friday is a blog hop aimed at providing exposure for new bloggers and at expanding blog followers. The hop is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read and is a wonderful opportunity for making new friends and sharing your love for books and reading.

This week’s featured blog is: Caffeine and Books

Three favorite heroines.
The books they are in and why you love them.

    1. Jane Yellowrock in Faith Hunter’s series of the same name – Jane is my favorite type of independent, fearless and snarky heroine. She knows precisely when to stand her ground and when to keep silent, and never allows anyone to intimidate or undermine her. That said, there is still something vulnerable about her attempts to recall her past and discover her true identity and place in the world. The relationship between Jane and her Beast is one of the highlights of the story – their separate almost adversarial identities is original and fascinating
    2. Hero Jarvis in the Sebastian St. Cyr series by C. S. Harris – Hero is a particularly engaging and refreshing heroine. Intelligent, vivacious and honest to a fault, she lights up the pages with her courage and resilience. She is also very skilled at wielding a pistol, a knife and a pot of scalding water like nobody’s business. Do NOT get on her bad side!
    3. Elena Deveraux in the Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh – Elena is a wonderful  mix of strength and vulnerability that one cannot help but admire and empathize with. she also has a serious problem with her mouth getting ahead of her brain, which often gets her into trouble.

Who are your favorite heroines?

Lauren’s Reading Obsession is my newly rebooted blog after a long hiatus. Likes, comments and follows via WordPress or Bloglovin’ would be greatly appreciated.

  1. I’m impressed. This is the first post where I haven’t read any of the books listed. They all sound like strong characters that I would enjoy reading about. Thanks for sharing them. I’ll definitely have to take a closer look at these titles.
